WITH GRATITUDE
나는 그림을 그리며 무한한 행복감과 자유로움을 즐긴다.그림을 통해 내속에 내재된 감정을 스스럼없이 풀어 놓거나 자연이나 주변 사물이 주는 감동을 표현해 봄으로 자신도 알지 못했던 내밀한 감정을 다시 느껴볼 수도 있고 붓끝에서 재창조된 화폭의 그림들로부터 얻는 창작의 기쁨도 맛볼 수 있다.
이번 WITH GRATITUDE 전시는 연로하신 나의 어머니가 딸의 그림들을 가까운 친구들에게 선물하고 싶다는 요청에 따라 마련하게 되었다. 처음에는 그런 제안이 버겁게도 느껴졌지만, 지금껏 그림을 통해 누려왔던 기쁨과 행복을 주변 지인들과 나눌 수 있는 것 또한 기쁨이며 보람이라는 생각이 든다.
이전의 나의 작품들이 내적 에너지를 따라 다소 과장된 색채와 몸짓, 형태들의 표현이었다면 이번 전시에서는 내가 지금껏 작품 활동을 할 수 있게 해 준 모든 것들에 대한 감사의 마음을 꽃들과 사물들에 담아 소박하게 표현한 것들이다. 그동안의 그림들이 나를 향한 열정과 애정, 욕구의 표현들이었다면 그것들을 잠시 내려놓고 누군가를 위한 그림으로 과하지 않은 충만함, 절제되었으나 충분히 넉넉함을 표현하고 싶었다.
많은 이들과 함께 나의 작품들을 통해 감사와 기쁨과 행복을 공유할 수 있는 멋진 기회가 되길 바라며....... I enjoy painting infinite happiness and freedom.Through painting I express my emotions in my mind without hesitation and express the impression of nature and surrounding objects.These expressions allow me to feel intimate feelings that I did not even know myself and to make me taste the joy of creation that is recreated in the brush stroke. In this GRATITUDE exhibition, my old mother asked me to present her daughter's drawings to her friends. Such a proposal was burdensome, but it is also my joy and worthwhile to be able to share the joy and happiness I have enjoyed through painting with. If my previous works were expressed in exaggerated colors, gestures and shapes along with inner energy, the works of this exhibition will show gratitude for all the things that I have been able to do so far with flowers and objects It is a simple expression.If the paintings in the meantime were expressions of enthusiasm, affection, and desire for me, I would like to put them down for a while, express to the fullness that is not excessive and the abstinence that was not restrained, for someone.
